YMCA Camp Campbell, Boulder Creek, CA

ymca camp campbell project boulder creek

The YMCA Camp Campbell Project is a beautiful addition to the YMCA portfolio of properties.  This project includes Canadian Cedar log construction of 6 tree top cabins, maintenance and shop buildings, and a 9000 SF Dining Lodge.

Each 1100 SF cabin contains 13 bunks, restrooms, showers, hydronic heating, and large skylights.  Each cabin is fully ADA accessible via newly constructed flying walkways that surround the entire complex.

The shop buildings and parking areas contain electric vehicle charging stations, and a living machine bio sewage treatment center.

The Dining Lodge was built from Canadian Cedar with huge vaulted truss ceilings with CalWal skylights, state of the art sound attenuation batting and a metal roof.  The lodge includes a modern commercial kitchen designed to serve over 1000 meals per day.  The structure includes nearly full surround covered decks, a new playing field, stage area and log construction camp store.

The Boulder Creek area gets 50 or 60 inches of rain each year and BSB had it all during construction, including the mud and fallen trees.  Our team worked hard with the cooperation of the YMCA and Aron Faegre Architect to get through the entire process.
