Plantronics' existing Photovoltaic system was completed by Barry Swenson Builder in June of 2006 and consists of 262.5kW on the roof of Building 345.
Barry Swenson Builder was hired again in May of 2010 to design and install an additional 608kW on the roof of Building 333 and parking lots.
This is the largest PV project in the Tri-County area. The project would cover 2.3 football fields and produces enough power to equal taking 50 cars off the road or powering 175 homes. Total modules installed is 4054.
Plantronics paid particular attention to the aesthetics of the parking structures moving through several design submittals and finally upgrading to curved arrays at staggered heights, a curved walkway, and decorative concrete, which turned out nicely for the final product.
