Todd Trekell has six years of experience in working in real estate development at Barry Swenson Builder. His experiences include:
- managing land and building acquisitions
- lease and contract negotiations
- Financing
- Liaison with governmental agencies, managing community and client relationships
- Obtaining planning entitlements and permits.
Mr. Trekell was born and raised in Gilroy and is a graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Business Administration.
As a Project Manager, he has been involved in the acquisition of more than 700,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail buildings located in and around Silicon Valley. In addition to land acquisition, he is currently working on entitling the following projects:
- The Ohlone: An 800 unit mixed-use transit oriented development with 30,000 square feet of commercial retail space located in San Jose, CA
- Mixed-use Hotel: A 115 unit extended stay hotel located just outside of the nationally registered downtown historic district in San Jose
- Livermore Mixed Use: A 250 unit mixed-use development comprised of approximately 25,000 square feet of commercial retail space located in downtown Livermore
Currently Mr. Trekell is actively involved in the following organizations within the Silicon Valley Community:
Santa Clara County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, (Board Member), Junior Achievement of Silicon Valley, (Board Member), Rotary International, (Member), Association for Facilities Engineering, (Member), San Jose Downtown Association Historic District Committee, (Chairman), Gilroy Garlic Festival Association, (Volunteer)
