Steve Andrews - Vice President, Construction Division
Steve Andrews has been part of the Barry Swenson builder team since 1980. Over the years he has worked on hundreds of construction projects. These projects have been valued at an excess of $500 million. His approach to development and construction features the blending of all aspects of project construction, including:
- Open, working relationships with all of the parties involved;
- Establishing methods of evaluating the value and quality of products and systems;
- Team coordination which contributes to significant savings throughout the project without compromising any quality or value.
Steve has managed and directed various projects for Barry Swenson Builder, ranging from steel frame office buildings and historical renovations to multi-family, mid-rise and high rise construction. These projects have included a variety of complex specialty items:
soil stabilization, seismic reconstruction, owner/ occupant buildings requiring upgraded specifications, just to name a few.
Clients include: Echelon Corporation, Sandia Laboratories, Transamerican Retirement Communities, San Jose Redevelopment Agency, SJ Housing, South County Housing and Santa Clara County Housing Authority.
Projects Include:
- City Heights, A 16 story high-rise residential condominium project; the first residential high-rise in Downtown San Jose. Almost sold out!
- Park View Towers @ St. James Park, High-rise residential condominium project currently undergoing land entitlements. The site is unique because it is surrounded on 3 sides by light rail tracks.
- Vendome Place Apartments, 10 story apartment community, first of multi-phase project. Located on the corner of North First Street and Taylor in San Jose.

- Vendome Towers Phase II, high-rise residential project currently undergoing land entitlements. Located at the corner of North First Street and Taylor.
- North San Pedro Towers, mixed-use community located in Downtown San Jose's San Pedro Square. Currently undergoing land entitlements.
