
Mike Black has over 15 year years of experience of working in the real industry which includes 13 years at Barry Swenson Builder.
His experience includes:
- All real estate product types for acquisition and disposition
- Tenant leasing and management
- Party to party contract negotiations
- Private Client and Public Financial Analysis Liaison with governmental agencies,
- Managing community and client relationships
- Consulting and partnership planning/formation
- Obtaining planning entitlements and permits w/ local jurisdictions
- Project Scheduling and timeline management with client and construction
Mr. Black was born and raised in Cupertino, California and is a graduate of California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Business Marketing and Management.
As a Senior Development Manager, Mr. Black has been involved in the acquisition of more than 1,000,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail buildings located in and around Silicon Valley. In addition to property acquisition/disposition, he is currently working on entitling the following projects:
- Century Center: Planned appartment towers, 440 units and ±10,000 square feet of ground level retail space. Located in the North First Street corridor of San Jose, CA.
- The Ohlone: An 800 unit mixed-use transit oriented development with 30,000 square feet of commercial retail space located in San Jose, CA.
- Mixed Use Hotel: A 321 Unit extended stay Marriott hotel located right neat the San Jose International Airport.
Currently Mr. Black is actively involved in the following organizations within the Silicon Valley Community: Alameda Business Association (Member), and the GYRO Philanthropy Group (Member).
