Blair joined Barry Swenson Builder in 1999, with 16 years of diverse construction experience behind him. While starting his career in the construction of water/waste-water treatment plants, Blair began laying the foundation for a strong background in the management and construction of mechanical and industrial projects.
Key projects that affirmed this strength were a $160 Million hospital and a $20 Million winery. Prior to joining Barry Swenson Builder, Blair spent six years in the material handling industry. In this field, he played a key role in the construction management of over $200 Million of material handling equipment for Levi Strauss & Co., The Gap and Nike.
Since being with Barry Swenson Builder, Blair has successfully worked with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department in constructing a state of the art firing range and training facility, an $8 Million renovation of a dilapidated shopping center in San Jose, a tilt-up concrete maintenance station for Cal Trans and a variety of industrial and tenant improvement work for General Electric Nuclear Energy, and most recently, the construction of seventy-nine for-sale residential units.
Having either sole responsibility for project success or as a key part of the construction team, Blair has completed in excess of $200 Million of build-outs ranging in size from 15,000 square feet to over 800,000 square feet. These projects include medical, commercial, process, industrial and residential.
In addition to a Bachelors of Science Degree in Construction from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Blair holds a General Engineering Contractor’s “A” License from the State of California.
